About Me
I am a Marin County licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in San Rafael. I work with individuals and couples seeking help and support with a wide range of issues. I received a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy’s Transpersonal Psychology program in Contra Costa, California.
I also received an MA in Creative Arts from San Francisco State University and a BA in Fine Art from UC Berkeley. I have a great love for the arts and am particularly passionate about the visual arts, dance and film. I believe art is the language of the soul and allows us to express our deepest joys, sorrows and longings as well as our relationship to the great mystery of life.
I am dedicated to ongoing personal and professional development and have devoted time to the following areas of study:
- Advanced training in the Hakomi Method, an in-depth, mindfulness-based, somatic approach to psychotherapy
- Couples therapy
- Internal Family Systems Therapy
- Attachment theory
- Infidelity and affairs
- Grief and loss
- East-West psychology
I have a long-standing interest in spiritual and contemplative practices and great faith in the innate wisdom and truth inherent in each individual. I believe each of us often seeks not only greater wholeness and self-actualization but a deep desire to be more at peace in the present moment. It is my hope in working together that you may experience positive personal change and growth as well as a greater appreciation and acceptance of who you are in this present moment.
